形態特徵

Small deciduous trees, 1–8 m tall; branches pubescent, spines straight, axillary, paired at each node, rarely lacking.
Leaves usually along brachyblasts, subsessile, thin coriaceous, oblong-ovate to oblong or oblong-obovate, 2–6 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, apex acute to acuminate, base cuneate, margin entire, glabrous except pubescent along veins; stipules deltate, 3–4 mm long, glabrous.
Flowers solitary, at apex of brachyblasts, subsessile; calyx 6–9 mm long, pubescent, lobes 5, ovate, as long as calyx tube; corolla white, later pale yellow, 12–20 mm long, lobes 5, oblong or elliptic, glabrous except hairy in throat; stamens exserted; style ca. 7 mm long, hardly exserted.
Berry subglobose, 2–4 mm in diam., glabrous or pubescent.

分布

台灣 : in thickets at lowlands.
世界 : Sri Lanka, Malesia, and southern China.
